Hello guest
Your basket is empty
Now that we are in the midst of autumn and heading even closer to winter it is easy to think that their is nothing you can do to improve your lawns health, below are a few jobs you can do while the temperature is a bit cooler that will greatly benefit your grass.

Even though the temperature has dropped, your grass is still growing. It will not grow at the rate it does at other times of the year but it will still grow over the winter months. You can still mow your grass if needed and the conditions allow, don’t just mow for the sake of it. If you have a lawnmower with a collection box you csan use this to collect the leaves from your lawn.

You can protect your grass from winter diseases by feeding it with the appropriate formula. During the autumn/winter it is best to use a feed that contains high potassium and phosphorus, and lower nitrogen. This will help with the overall function of the plant and give it the support it needs ahead of the winter months.

Due to the dark, cold and wet conditions moss will thrive over the winter months. By keeping on top of your lawn maintenance all you round with mowing and feeding the lawn you will help to reduce this.

For Lawnmowers in Bedford, Flitwick, Kempston, Ampthill, Wixams, Stewartby, Cranfield and throughout Bedfordshire, look no further than AMF Services.
