Bedford Foodbank

Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income. 

 

Bedford Foodbank’s volunteers work with referral partners to provide a minimum of three days emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis in our community. 

 

Last year Trussell Trust foodbanks in the UK gave food over 1 million times to people experiencing food poverty. 

 

Our foodbank relies on your goodwill and support. 

 

Over 90% of the food distributed by foodbanks in The Trussell Trust network is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious three day supply of food. 

 

Our shopping list below shows the food items that we need right now.

Sanitary Items: Many people have commented after viewing the powerful film ‘I Daniel Blake’. We are pleased to inform you that through generous donations we already have an abundance of sanitary towels and tampons. We also do not require incontinence products. If you wish to donate toiletries to Bedford Foodbank our current needs are: toothbrushes, toilet rolls, disposable razors, shaving foam/gel, household cleaning sprays, washing up liquid. Many thanks for your generosity.
